What You Might Want to Know Before We Begin

1. What should I prepare for my first individual therapy session?

 

You don’t need to prepare anything special—just bring your present self, whether that means some thoughts, questions, or simply a willingness to talk. It’s okay if it’s your first time or if you’re unsure what to say. We’ll start the conversation gently and at your pace, with no rush or pressure.

 

2. Who is individual therapy for?

 

Anyone is welcome, whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, loss, or simply wish to understand yourself better. You don’t need a “serious” issue to come, nor do you have to wait until you feel “ready.” Individual therapy is for anyone who wants to adjust or get to know themselves.

 

3. Will what I say with my therapist be kept confidential?

 

Absolutely. Everything you share is strictly protected. Unless required by law (such as safety concerns for yourself or others), your information remains confidential. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details—confidentiality is our professional promise and your right.

 

4. How many individual therapy sessions does it usually take to see change?

 

Everyone’s timeline is different. Some people notice shifts after a few sessions, some need longer. Together, we’ll discuss what frequency and goals fit you. There’s no need to rush your “progress”—slow and steady is welcome. If you have questions, feel free to contact us anytime.
