English・Cantonese・Mandarin
Kat is a counsellor based in Australia, offering sessions in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. With lived experience across both Hong Kong and Australian cultures, she brings a culturally sensitive perspective to her work.
She has received professional counselling training and continues to deepen her practice through ongoing learning and clinical supervision. Her approach focuses on creating a safe, steady space where clients feel supported and understood.
Kat believes that many struggles are not a sign of personal weakness, but the result of experiences, relationships, or pressures that have been carried for a long time. Counselling is not always about immediate change -- often, it begins with being heard, making sense of one’s experiences, and slowly reconnecting with oneself.
Her work is gentle yet attentive, placing importance on emotional safety and pacing. Clients are invited to explore their thoughts and feelings without pressure or judgment.
Katerpillar Counselling aims to offer a space where people can feel emotionally held — a place where you do not need to have everything figured out before you begin, but can simply start from where you are.
Our Services
We offer counselling support across different life stages and relationships. Each session is a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and gently make sense of what you are going through — at your own pace.
Individual Counselling -
A Space to Come Back to Yourself.
A private and supportive space to explore emotions, stress, life transitions, or personal struggles without judgment.
Sessions focus on helping you better understand yourself, regain emotional clarity, and reconnect with inner stability and hope, while moving forward in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
Couples Counselling -
Understanding Before Solutions.
When communication becomes difficult or relationships feel stuck, couples counselling offers a guided space to slow conversations down and rebuild understanding.
Together, we explore emotional needs, patterns of interaction, and healthier ways of relating, supporting reconnection and stronger emotional safety within the relationship.
Family Counselling -
Healing Happens in Relationships.
Family life can hold complex emotions and expectations, especially during times of change.
Family counselling helps members listen and understand one another more deeply, improve communication, and strengthen connection.
The focus is on supporting the family system as a whole rather than placing blame on any individual.
NDIS Support Counselling -
Support that Moves at Your Pace.
Counselling support for NDIS participants focusing on emotional wellbeing, adjustment, and psychosocial support aligned with personal goals.
Sessions are tailored to individual strengths and needs, supporting emotional regulation, confidence, and everyday coping while providing a calm, respectful, and empowering therapeutic environment.

Quiet Questions, Gentle Answers...
Some questions are often present even before they are spoken.
Here are gentle answers to help you take the first step with greater ease.
Q: Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All sessions are by appointment to ensure personalised and focused care. You may contact us through our website booking form, whatsApp, phone, or email, and we will help arrange a suitable time.
Q: Is what I share confidential?
Your trust matters deeply. All conversations are conducted within strict professional confidentiality, creating a safe and ethical space where you can speak openl.
Q: Online or in-person sessions?
Both are available. We offer in-person sessions in Sydney as well as online counselling locally and internationally.
Q: Do I need to have a serious problem to seek counselling?
Not at all. Counselling is not only for crises. Many people come simply because they want a safe space to reflect, gain clarity, or support personal growth.
Q: How should I prepare for my first session?
There is no preparation required. You may note any themes you wish to explore, but most importantly, come as yourself. We will begin at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Some answers are already waiting.
When you are ready, we are here — with listening ears and space for beginnings.

Taking the Next Step
Sometimes, reaching out does not begin with certainty —
but with a quiet sense that something within you deserves attention.
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting counselling.
Many people begin simply because they feel tired, stuck, or ready for change, even if they cannot fully explain why.
The first session is not about fixing everything.
It is a gentle beginning — a space to slow down, be heard, and explore what support might look like for you.
If you feel ready, you are warmly welcome to take the next step.
